The Salvation Army Rancho Cordova Community Hub

Located in one of the most culturally diverse areas of the country, The Salvation Army of Rancho Cordova is happy to introduce our new Community Hub. The Hub is a place where anyone of any background can come and find kindness and acceptance, get spiritual counseling, and obtain social services.

We strive to provide a safe and sober environment that is free of judgment and cultural barriers. Our goal is to fulfill our community’s needs in a holistic manner. Some of the social services we provide include:

  • Food pantry
  • Connection with other social services (financial and legal help, social services for elders and children, etc.)
  • Helpful information with Social Security, SSI and Medicare and Medi-Cal
  • Homeless or low income outreach

Those looking for spiritual assistance can receive pastoral counseling, Christian services in English and Bible study. For the kids, we offer VBS (Vacation Bible School) and Salvation Army Troops programs.

Our community services include:

  • Music lessons (piano and guitar)
  • Martial arts lessons (Tae Kwon Do)
  • Team sports (soccer and basketball)
  • Crochet class for adults and seniors
  • English class (Free, provided by Highland school)
  • Computer lessons for seniors and children
  • After school homework program
  • Celebration Recovery meetings (in Korean)

We're Depending On You

Please consider supporting our Community Hub, so that we may fulfill The Salvation Army’s mission of serving people in need in Rancho Cordova and beyond.

For the Future

We are hoping to continue adding more programs and services over time. Our goals include:

  • Senior social service help. For any seniors who need help with Medi-cal, Medicare, Social Security, etc. This will be free of charge.
  • After school/ homework.  We are working with a private school to provide help with homework for children.
  • English classes. We will be providing a place for a local charter school to hold English classes in our Corps free of charge.
  • Sports for children. This is still in planning stage, but we would like to have sports teams for local children who cannot afford to join another team.
